1. Nomination Process Analysis

Senior editorial members review the nomination process annually to properly reflect changes in industry best practices, priorities and trends. We request specific details and examples to help ensure that the programs selected are the absolute best that the P&C industry has to offer.

2. Ensuring a Diverse Slate of Entrants

PropertyCasualty360 works to ensure that its recognitions honor the industry’s very best, and the only way to do that is to ensure that we receive an array of relevant nominations that represent diverse industries, geographies and program features. We leverage the PropertyCasualty360 community and the Workers’ Compensation Institute community in an effort to assure that a broad swath of the P&C industry is aware of and participates in this recognition.

3. Judging

In correspondence with the recognition’s criteria, PropertyCasualty360’s senior editors diligently review all nominations without bias to select three of the industry’s most impactful workers’ comp programs. Winners are selected based on the awards’ criteria

4. Recognition

Once the 2025 Workers' Comp Risk Management Award for Excellence winners are notified of their selection in early June, the chosen programs will be honored with trophies on stage at the annual WCI Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference in Orlando, FL on August 17-20 2025.
The winners will also be profiled in a feature article on PropertyCasualty360.com in mid-August, and they will gain additional recognition on PropertyCasualty360’s social media channels and email newsletters.

PropertyCasualty360 reserves the right to revoke any awards based on matters that arise during the nomination process.
