Name
Back to the Future: Reverse Engineering for Success in High-Stakes Litigation
Description
The insurance carrier tower’s response to high exposure cases has become increasingly more important as nuclear verdicts are growing in frequency and severity. When the excess tower starts collapsing on itself and the primary carrier, this emboldens plaintiffs’ attorneys and can result in overpaying cases. This session will provide an overview of how high exposure cases have historically been handled from the unique perspective of each stakeholder, as well as concrete suggestions on how to foster collaboration in the insurance tower to implement effective settlement and trial strategies to reduce the risk of nuclear verdicts.
