Julie Daugherty serves as the General Manager of the Central Claims Department at Acuity, bringing more than 25 years of diverse insurance claims experience, industry involvement, and strategic leadership.

Julie began her career as a Paralegal in an insurance defense firm, where her talent and work ethic led to her recruitment by a top client to join their organization as a Claims Adjuster. She spent more than 15 years excelling as a multi-line Field Claims Adjuster before advancing to Field Claims Manager in Milwaukee in 2014. In 2022, she was promoted to General Manager of Central Claims, where she continues to make a meaningful impact.

Recognized by colleagues and industry partners as an influential leader, Julie has collaborated across departments and organizations to provide training, education, and thoughtful leadership. She is a sought-after presenter at industry conferences, speaking on a variety of topics including Litigation, Negotiation, and Leadership.

Within Acuity, Julie has contributed to several strategic initiatives designed to elevate organizational culture, enhance workflows, and support continuous improvement within Claims. She has a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams and has mentored numerous claims professionals throughout their careers.

In her current role, Julie has expanded her focus into operational leadership—interviewing, hiring, and onboarding more than twenty entry-level claims professionals each year. She works closely with her leadership team to continually evolve training and development programs, strengthen departmental communication, and build trust across all levels of the organization.

Outside of work, Julie enjoys staying active, baking, and traveling with her husband, Chadd. Together, they love hosting family gatherings for their blended family of six adult children.
