Heather Roth is currently in-house counsel at American Family Mutual Insurance. She has vast amounts of insurance defense experiences representing insureds dating back over fifteen years, including five years as a partner at Parker Straus, LLP, and nearly ten years as staff counsel for State Farm. Heather is a graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Law and earned her LLM in French and European Community Law from the Université de Paris I, la Sorbonne. She is licensed in California and Washington, D.C.

During her time as a litigation and trial attorney, Heather successfully tried twelve cases to verdict, gave MCLE presentations educating both attorneys and claim representatives on relevant issues in her area of practice, and acted as a mentor to younger attorneys. She has litigated matters consisting of a wide variety of bodily injuries and wrongful death claims involving traumatic brain injuries and significant past and/or future surgeries. She also volunteered through the Los Angeles County Bar Association for approximately ten years, and was as a pro bono MSC officer through the ASCDC for 2 years in what is now ResolveLA.

Heather lives in Burbank, California, and is a mother to two children, age 8 and 2. When not working, Heather enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading books by Malcolm Gladwell, Amy Tan, and Dr. Sharon Moalem.
