Michael Gatewood has over 15 years of experience in adjusting large and complex losses. He is currently a National General Adjuster with Sedgwick in Portland, OR. Though he resides in the Pacific Northwest, he routinely handles claims across the country including Alaska and Hawaii. Michael has his AIC designation and is a member of the Oregon RIMS Board of Directors. He regularly partners with industry experts to present state-approved continuing education classes and to represent Sedgwick’s service offerings in symposiums across the globe. Michael specializes working on Nominated Accounts and excels with claims involving business income and extra expense, major and complex property claims, hospitals, hotels and resorts, multi-family, industrial, wineries, as well as complex equipment claims. He works with many brokers and carriers across the country ensuring that every claim he is assigned to receives a timely and professional response.

In his spare time, Michael, his wife Erin, and their two dogs like to backpack, hike, attend concerts, and travel.
