Tandeka Nomvete graduated from Georgia State University in 2013 with a BBA in
Risk Management & Insurance, minor in Actuarial Science, and began her career with Marsh as an Associate Account Executive. Seeking to impact the next generation of RMI talent, Tandeka gained experience in the non-profit sector as the National Director of Chapter Engagement at Gamma Iota Sigma. She then worked as the Director of College Recruiting at Questpro Consultants, leading
their early career hiring efforts. Today, Tandeka is the Director of External Engagement at Spencer Educational Foundation, a leading non-profit organization that supports the education of future Risk Management and Insurance professionals.
Tandeka has received several industry awards, including the 2024 Elite Women Award by Insurance Business America, the 2023 40 Under 40 by Georgia State University, the 2022 RISE Award (35 Under 35), the 2022 Rising Star, and the 2021 Emerging Leader Award.
Tandeka serves on various boards, including the global RIMS DEI Advisory Council, Morgan State University Actuarial Science Advisory Board, Georgia State University Greenberg School of Risk Science Advisory Board, LAAIA Atlanta Chapter Board, and the Young Risk Professionals of Georgia Board.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband.
