Digital Insurance’s Women in Insurance Leadership NEXT Honoree, Bethany Jansen is a Principle IT Program Manager in the Data Science & Analytics Lab, for American Family Insurance. Bethany oversees the strategy, partner management and execution of products and programs pertaining to AI, Machine Learning and Data Science. A key connector for her technology teams into the company’s business and functional units, she leverages her previous roles across the business to deliver on projects, people, strategy and culture. Bethany joined American Family in March 2016 after working in the public sector for a variety of public policy and financial management roles with the State of Wisconsin including: Department of Administration, Department of Corrections and the Department of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection. Bethany holds a B.A in Political Science and Public Administration from Winona State University and an MPA specializing in Financial Management from Northern Illinois University. Outside of work, Bethany is active in her community serving as head of the selection team for the Lino Lakes Ambassador Program where she also mentors candidates and assists in fundraising and community partnerships. Bethany, her husband Will and twin daughters live in Blaine, Minnesota.
