Vice President, Global Risk
Curtis Scott is Vice President, Global Risk for Lyft, Inc. and was previously Global Head of Insurance and Associate General Counsel for Uber Technologies Inc. To date nearly every insurance program or regulation regarding ridesharing around the globe reflects Scott's involvement. From cars, to bikes, to autonomy, to the future of work he has been at the forefront of risk and urban mobility. Prior to shaking up the world with ridesharing insurance, Mr. Scott was product counsel for The Climate Corporation, a San Francisco based parametric weather insurance startup that was acquired by Monsanto for over $1B. He previously worked for Allstate Insurance Company where he advanced through a variety of legal and product roles within the Allstate group of companies (Allstate, Esurance and Encompass). Mr. Scott holds a JD from The John Marshall Law School, an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and a BA from West Virginia University. He frequently lectures on insurance innovation and regulation.
