Frequently, claimants and insurers have opposite goals. The claimant may feel that the carrier does not understand the loss the insured has sustained. While the insurer may believe that the loss is exaggerated or that the extent of loss is false. If an agreement cannot be reached; mediation, arbitration, or even litigation might be the only option to reach a settlement.
